Sunflower hybrids

Sunflower breeding is a priority for the Ukrainian Scientific Institute of Breeding, so we actively analyze the needs and trends of the agricultural market and introduce the latest innovations for successful cultivation in Ukrainian fields.

Sunflower breeding is aimed at improving the following traits:

• crop resistance to herbicides
  
• tolerance to new races of broomrape
• adaptability of hybrids to different soil and climatic conditions
• stability and high yields

The VNIS sunflower hybrid line offers the best hybrids for classical technology, sunflower hybrids resistant to herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl (SU) and imidazolinone (IMI), as well as the high-oleic sunflower hybrid Everest.
