On February 12-13, 2025, Lviv hosted the annual Re:farm conference, the largest agricultural event in Ukraine, which brought together more than 1000 participants, including agricultural producers, investors, scientists, startups, agribusiness and technology companies. The event was held at !FESTrepublic and became a platform for discussing the challenges and prospects for the development of the Ukrainian agricultural sector.

VNIS participation in Re:farm 2025: breeding, innovation and partnership

The Re:farm conference covered key topics ranging from agricultural policy and food security to sustainable farming, innovations in breeding, the use of drones, biotechnology, precision farming, and energy independence of farms. The program included more than 20 thematic sessions, presentations by more than 70 speakers, master classes, an equipment exhibition, and networking zones. It is at Re:farm that the vision of the future of agrarian Ukraine is being formed.

VNIS (All-Ukrainian Scientific Institute of Selection) also took part in the conference. We drew attention to Ukrainian-bred sunflower seeds and their ability to adapt to climate change. It was emphasized that sunflower hybrids developed by domestic experts can provide stable yields and high oil content even in dry conditions.

Special attention at the VNIS booth was drawn to corn hybrids of Ukrainian breeding, which demonstrate high yields and endurance. Within the exhibition area, VNIS also presented corn seeds, which are actively used by agricultural producers throughout Ukraine and abroad. The growing interest in corn hybrids demonstrates the quality and competitiveness of modern technologies of domestic origin.

Participation in Re:farm was an important opportunity for VNIS to establish new partnerships, present innovations, share experiences with market leaders and demonstrate that Ukrainian sunflower seeds and corn from VNIS are a modern, reliable answer to the needs of agricultural production. The All-Ukrainian Scientific Institute of Breeding has once again confirmed its reputation as a reliable scientific partner of the agricultural sector.

We sincerely thank the organizers of the Re:farm conference for the opportunity to join such a large-scale and meaningful event. We highly appreciate the platform created for professional dialog, exchange of experience and presentation of relevant solutions for the agricultural sector. We look forward to further cooperation and are looking forward to participating in the next Re:farm conference in 2026.
